The 600D is capable of taking excellent videos, but only with careful attention to settings, a tripod and manual focusing. There is no internal image stabilization. The video files are also very large (although you can cut down on this by using Magic Lantern to reduce the sampling rate).
Setting up and Shooting in Av Mode. Turn your camera on and then turn the Mode dial to align the Av with the indicator line. Select your ISO by pressing the ISO button on the top of the camera, and then turning the Main dial. Point the camera at your subject and then activate the camera meter by depressing the shutter button halfway.
Try it with a new memory card. Something reliable, like a Sandisk. Again, if that doesn't fix your problem, you might have to send it to Canon for servicing. Prices can vary, so a quick phone call to Canon's customer service (1 (800) 652-2666) would be the most reliable source.
